AYSO REGION 708 WARREN, MI

WHEW I'VE REGISTERED!! NOW WHAT HAPPENS?

WHAT’S THE BOARD DOING?
Immediately after the last registration date, your Board begins putting teams together for the upcoming season. When this is completed the uniforms will be ordered and the coaches will be notified.

WHEN DO THE COACHES GET THEIR TEAMS?
FALL SEASON:
Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters by early August.

SPRING SEASON - Added Players:
Coaches should expect to receive their updated team rosters by mid April.

WHEN DO THE PLAYERS GET CALLED?
FALL SEASON:
Teams may begin practice on or after August 1st. The coaches will call the players usually around early August.

SPRING SEASON - Added Players:
Teams may begin practice once the weather finally warms and the fields are dry. The coaches will call their new players around mid April once their updated team rosters and player forms are released.

They will give you all the information you will need in regards to practice times and location. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location.

IT’S GETTING CLOSE TO THE SEASON START AND MY CHILD HAS NOT BEEN CALLED. WHAT DO I DO?
Please do not panic if you see teams practicing and your child has not been called. Not all teams begin practice at the same time. Also, some coaches may be out of town. If your child has not been called by the week before the season starts, you can call (586) 745-1058, and we'll find out why.

WHAT ELSE DOES MY CHILD NEED?
The registration fee includes: complete uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks) and supplemental accident insurance.

You'll need to obtain soccer cleats, shin guards, and a soccer ball (U6 and U8 – size 3, U10-U12 – size 4, U14 and above – size 5). A reusable water bottle is highly recommended.
HOW OFTEN ARE PRACTICES AND GAMES?
Practices are held once or twice a week (field and times to be determined by your child’s coach). Games for U6 and above are two days a week (Saturdays and one week day), while U5 only plays once a week on Saturdays (no practices).

ABOUT REFUNDS?
Visit refund policy page for details.

IS THERE LATE REGISTRATION?
Late registration for U6 through U19 begins after our last registration. Those interested may contact us at [email protected] for exact dates. A waitlist process is in place for those who've missed registration, and opportunities may still exist for your player to sign up.

The VIP and U5 programs do not have late registration. There is no time limit up till the start of the season, and there is no fee increase.

PLEASE REMEMBER…
AYSO is a parent-based volunteer organization established to provide a positive experience for our children. Go to the games. Learn the rules. Above all, be tolerant of the children’s coaches and referees mistakes and weaknesses.
